crim law results

Not too happy with the results of my crim law midterm. It's pretty fustrating when you spend 20+ hrs studying for one exam and your results are almost the exact opposite of all the time and effort you spend. Just goes to show that it's not about how long you study but how effective you study. However, in this case, I really credit my approach for the poor showing. I need to readjust my strategy for the final and I'll be in good shape. I didn't fail my midterm but I didn't do as well as I hoped. No need to rue over it anymore. I did that Friday.

I think I'll just egg my professor's house to exact my revenge.

Sunday early morning

It's just over a month of my first year in law school and I'm pulling my first all-nighter (applause/moans). Crim. law midterm 9:00AM on a Sunday morning. Are you kidding me? No joke. Ah well. All I can do is play by the rules.

Really, I have no excuses for my absence. I didn't have an internet connection for a while but I could have kept up with the blog using computers at the school's computer lab. So I started law school? I still have had plenty of free time to blog.

Okay. I'm a lying bastard. I made a promise like samwise gamgee except I couldn't keep it. I'm going to the last level in Hell where Satan chews you up for eternity.

But I'm procrastinating and I'm back at least for the time being-being this blog-with no promise to continue although I'll TRY!

I've been so out of touch with life I really don't have much to talk about except for the season premiere of LOST. OMG-I just gets better.

Anyhow, since Greg did call me out, which means some one is reading and takes the time to check out this site, I feel that I have an obligation to send the messages out. I have a duty to spread the truth and let people know what's really going on out there!

Now go out my space monkey's and free some zoo animals for God sake!!!

Best-Baddest-Biggest Batman Blowout

It took four films but the executives at Warner Brothers finally got it right. Strip away every little superficial aspect of Batman you've been weened on and what do you have? You have a man on a quest. You have a detective. You have heart. Excuse the melodrama but this is who Batman is. This new film is leagues above the shit they've fed us the last thirteen or so years. If you haven't been to the movies lately because of the overpriced tickets or because you're too lazy, make an effort to go out and see this film. You'll be thanking me once you do.

I made an appointment with my doctor to see him within a week because that's his only available slot. I've been having the fool ailment if you must know. Well, the day of my appointment comes and my foot feels better. It not only feels better, it feels great. So I see him anyway for his advice because you have to cancel at least 24 hours in advance. So I ask myself what is the point of scheduling an appointment with your doctor if it's going to be a week until you see him? If you have a cold and you're likely to be through it by the time he gets to examine your healthy self. Well, he gives me a prescription to get an x-ray but I'm saying to myself now, 'why bother with the procedure?' Okay, sure there may be a stress fracture but I haven't been swelling and I can even run on my foot. I just don't know...

I didn't really feel good after selling the last pair of tickets I had purchased just to make a profit out of. I'm not a professional scalper and I do not sell tickets to earn a living. Mainly I do it so I can earn enough to pay for my own entrance into the club and maybe purchase a beer or two. Is that so wrong? I guess I may feel so because after seeing the excitement in the eyes of the buyers and realizing that I just charged them more to go to the show than what was originally asked, I feel I am nothing more than a money sucking leech. Maybe I'm being too hard on myself, I don't know. At least I feel remorse. Enough remorse to say to myself I am not going to buy extra tickets anymore to earn a profit. However, I am helping others get tickets to a show that they were unable to obtain in the first place. I'm giving them what they desire for a price they are willing to pay without restraint. A price that is negotiated and paid out with both parties reaping some sort of benefit. I guess we'll find out what I'm predestined to do when the next hot band comes to town.

And don't hate me. I just as susceptible to the faults of man as everyone else is!

Democrats vs. Republicans

The nation is so split between Democrats and Republicans with a majority of Republicans that if everyone kept voting partisan than Republicans will always have the majority vote. Soon Democrats will do two things: 1. they will up and move to Canada as Canada is a friendly nation that will accept our workforce and offer great hospitality, and 2. they will start a war against the Republicans for control of the nation under a Democratic or Republican Emperor. The Republicans will win since those trained in armed combat are mostly Republican and the Democratic army will be weak. Democrats will be left to try and establish themselves back in Canada and trade embargos will come and go. All of the best actors and singers will come from and live in Canada except for Arnold Schwartzenneger and your favorite country music bands. North America will be in chaos . . .

the bathroom

As I'm washing my hands in a public restroom, I take a glance at the door. If I have to pull the door open, I look to see if there's a trash can near the door. I also look to see if they have paper towels or an air dryer. If they have paper towels, and there is a bin near the door I'm fine. I take a paper towel and use it to open the door. I prop the door open with my leg and toss the paper towel in the bin. If there's an air dryer, I'm pretty much screwed. All the other situations you can probably figure out. Most of the time I'm asking myself why I even bother to wash my hands if I have to open that door. It's mostly counterproductive.

snow job

I shovel the snow. I shovel it again. I go to the gym and I place some weights back on the rack after using them. And then, my back. Yeah, my back. I feel that thing. You know. That feeling you get in your lower back when you've done something terribly wrong to it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, wait and see. It's nothing too painful, just uncomfortable. Then the pain sets in. In almost any position you're in except for lying down in the supine, it hurts. You can't bend down, you can't pick up anything worth picking up. It hurts to sit down, drive a car, go to work. And the pain doesn't subside until about a week, so you're stuck hurting for a good bit.

On the advice of an associate I have renamed my blog to something more witty and catching. What evolved is something I never could have imagined. This must be the same feeling the Beatles derived when they came up with the name of their band. However, because I didn't think of it first, I feel more like Godsmack, those hacks who use an Alice in Chains song title for their band name. Well, not so much.

Ty something or rather: the host of ABC's extreme house makeover. He does nothing but act annoying and dress in trendy, old navy outfits. And he cries about helping people and doing sentimental things. Yes, I think it's great they are helping those less fortunate but how about helping people who don't even have a home? What about people living in subsidized housing? I bet they could use an extreme house makeover.

hair did

So I got my haircut at Bubbles this weekend. I went there because it's only $25.00 as opposed to the cut I got at Alveda for $35.00. I still tip 20% though. Well, I'm not very happy about my cut. She used clippers which I should have told her not to but that was my fault. She didn't trim it through like I asked. And she wasn't paying attention to my hair when she was cutting it half the time. My sister, however, did look at it and wonder where I got my hair did because she said it didn't look right. So now I'm stuck with a bad haircut I paid $25.00 for instead of $10.00 I could have spent at the hair cuttery for the same bad haircut. WARNING: if you see an angry AZN with f-ed up hair, you are warned not to point and laugh.

Here's a shameless plug for i-tunes. I know, a plug, right? Anyhow, i-tunes manage your digital music. There's an i-tunes store where you can purchase songs. You can convert you cd collection into mpeg-4 files and the interface is very user friendly. Not to mention the software has the trendy mac signature look. I highly recommend downloading it even if you don't own an i-pod which I don't. It's free as well. Do it. Do it.
